About FatCat

The head Fat Cat started off as a commercial beer tester in college and moved on to more refined (read higher abv) testing techniques.  I've strived to experience as many different brews and brewpubs as possible.  My beer curiosity eventually led me to the next logical step, homebrewing.  Homebrewing has been a very exciting and fulfilling experience.  Homebrewing combines two of my life's interests which are cooking and cars.  You can always tweak ingredients to come up with a different brew and there are infinite possibilities (well probably not infinite but close) on equipment upgrades.
" Give a man a beer, waste an hour.  Teach a man to brew, waste a lifetime!"  - Bill Owen

So what's the next step after homebrew?  Well blogging of course.  Since I've now got my hand in several aspects of brew I wanted to create a site that brings together as much information about craft brew and homebrewing into one place.  I also want to "educate" people about craft brew so the choices at the liquor store are not so overwhelming.  If I can save one person from a lifetime of scud light then my purpose has been served.

Anytime I complete a review on a product or brew I will state where I purchased it.  This is to help anyone that wants the brew to find the brew.  This will hopefully cut down on some of the leg work you the reader will have to do to be able to enjoy a craft brew.  I am in no way compensated for any of my reviews and have made a conscious decision not to include any of the automatic advertising available through blogger.  I don't want to distract from the content of the blog with advertising links.  Also I do not get paid per page view or receive any other compensation for this blog.  I'm doing this purely out of interest for craft brew and homebrewing, and want to pass the information on to you the reader.  I am not a profressional writer nor do I claim to be an expert in grammar.  So, as some friends have already pointed out, please excuse any grammar flubs. I'm trying my best.

If you have any questions or concerns email me at FatCatKCblog@gmail.com and I will be happy to address them.

Thank you for reading and as always...

Cheers!
